Fancy something ส่วนมากจะใช้ในอังกฤษนะคะซึ่งแปลว่าคุณต้องการ.... มั้ย

แต่ถ้า Fancy someone จะหมายถึงเราชอบคน ๆ ในรูปแบบชู้สาว เช่น

I fancy you. ผมชอบคุณ

ซึ่งผู้เขียนคิดว่าคนไทยเอามาใช้เป็นคำว่า แฟน ในภาษาไทยนั่นเองค่ะ

Do you fancy a cup of tea?  คุณต้องการชามั้ย / คุณจะรับชามั้ย 

I don't really fancy going out tonight. คืนนี้ฉันไม่อยากไปข้างนอกอ่ะ

Do you fancy watching a movie later?หลังจากนี้คุณอยากดูหนังมั้ย

Do you fancy chicken or fish for dinner tonight?อาหารเย็นคุณอยากกินไก่หรืออยากกินปลา

แต่ถ้าเป็นอเมริกันจะถาม

Would you like a cup of coffee? คุณจะรับกาแฟมั้ย  ชาวอเมริกันใช้  Fancy ในรูปแบบ adj.เช่น

You are wearing a fancy dress.คุณใส่ชุดหรูหรามาก

Are you up for it? คุณอยาก.....มั้ย

to be up for something means that you want to do it and you can do  it; you're able to do it.

กฎของการใช้วลีนี้นะคะ

up for + V.ing  หรือ

up for + noun

Up for .......... หมายความว่า คุณต้องการที่จะทำ และ คุณทำได้

Are you up for some pizza tonight? = Do you want to eat pizza tonight? คืนนี้คุณอยากกินพิซซ่ามั้ย

Are you up for ordering pizza tonight? อยากสั่งพิซซ่ามั้ยคืนนี้

Are you up for eating pizza tonight? คืนนี้คุณอยากกินพิซซ่ามั้ย

Are you up for chess to night? คืนนี้คุณอยากกินพิซซ่ามั้ย

Are you up for playing some chess?

Yes, I'm well up for that!. = I'm very up for that!. = I'm really up for that!. ฉันอยากเล่น /ฉันเล่นด้วย 

if you answer yes, I'm well up for that!. It's means that you can do it and you really want to do it.

Are you down? ทำไม่ได้แปลว่าคุณจะลงมามั้ย

 Are you down? เป็นการถามประมาณว่า คุณสนใจมั้ย จะมาร่วมด้วยมั้ย ตัวอย่าง

We will go to cinema tonigth. Are you down? พวกเราจะไปดูหนังคืนนี้ เธอสนป่ะ

Yes, I'm down.

I'm down.

I'm down with that. ดี ๆ เห็นด้วย ๆ

หรือ ๆ ๆ ๆ ๆ ๆ  มันใช้กับอาการป่วยก็ได้นะเช่น
